St Jerome

St Jerome's Primary School, Formby, Liverpool, 2004.

Carved Oak, seated figure 1800mm x 800mm x 700mm. 'St Jerome' is situated at the entrance to St Jerome's primary, a new eco-school. We undertook workshops with the pupils, but the brief was quite prescriptive in that they wanted a family grouping and it had to relate to the story of St Jerome. I tried to make the piece as friendly as possible and feel it is quite a welcoming entrance feature to the school.
