Ground Anchor

The Oakwell Centre, Kendray Hospital, Barnsley.

Commissioned to develop sculptural centre piece with seating.

Oak construction. Approximately 2200mm x 3000mm x3000mm.

  • Three large 'J-shaped' sculptured pieces of wood, approximately 2 metres tall each, sat back to back in a circle at 120 degrees to one another with three 'tear-dropped' shaped sculptured wooden 'seats' between them on the floor
  • The ground anchor sculpture as seen from 20 metres away, in-situ on a neatly-trimmed patch of grass with garden, outside a red-brick, modern building
